Continuing education has become a real performance issue for both the organization and the employee's professional career. Faced with this observation, and to respond to the constant changes in the world of work, NEOMA is developing its Global Executive MBA. The new curriculum, offered from the start of the new school year in October 2020, is gaining in flexibility with 3 new academic years offered during the year, displays an international opening combining areas with high potential and promising themes, and is enriched by a strong territorial dimension capitalizing on the synergies of the School with its historic establishments.

Flexibility, international and regional roots: 3 key pillars of the Global Executive MBA

The evolution of the Global Executive MBA will be effective from the beginning of October 2020. The duration of 15 months and fully taught in English on the Paris campus of NEOMA Business School, the course displays strong developments:

·       3 returns and an increase in online courses to gain flexibility

"One of the strong characteristics of an MBA course is to address an audience of professionals. The adequacy of this type of curriculum with the constraints of a demanding professional life is therefore an essential dimension to take into account for any development, "said Olivier Lefaivre, Director of the Global Executive MBA. Thus, in order to offset the flexibility needs of this professional population, the number of online courses will be more substantial. In addition, 3 returns will be offered in October, February and June. Learners will now be able to join the course at the most suitable time, depending on their organization's activity calendar or their own professional project.

·       An international opening combining high potential areas and promising themes

Two "International Learning Experiences" enrich the curriculum, helping to strengthen the international dimension of training while cultivating the curiosity and openness of the participants. These week-long modules, which will focus on Fintechs and entrepreneurship in developing markets, will take place in New York (US) and Accra (Ghana) respectively. "Preparing for an MBA is not just about working on a range of skills and knowledge but gaining height," adds Olivier Lefaivre. "These international experiences will be an opportunity to change angles, open up careers to new international perspectives and acquire the keys and codes of a manager or a global entrepreneur." These modules will alternate theoretical learning, company visits and meetings with the local ecosystem. In addition, the international dimension of the curriculum is reinforced with two thirds of international teachers in the new program, and more than 60% international among the participants.

·       Capitalize on territorial synergies

The territorial anchoring dimension, which is at the heart of NEOMA’s strategic plan, was also significant in the work of reflection around the evolution of the Global Executive MBA. "NEOMA is fortunate to be able to rely on two powerful territories, with very strong economic heritage, particularly around Luxury for Champagne-Ardenne and Logistics Transport for Normandy". Visits to companies, interventions by professionals in the course, real business case studies… the interactions of the professional world of the historic territories of NEOMA in the course will be varied. "Our links with the key players in these territories allow us to enrich the program with focus on these promising activity sectors".

An innovative and experiential pedagogy serving 3 ambitions

In parallel with these developments, the program will strengthen the use of "peer-learning", which allows each learner of the Global Executive MBA, rich in significant professional background, to become the ambassador of their knowledge and its good practices with promotion. The program will also offer “Resilient Leadership” sessions dedicated to personal development and strengthening the interpersonal leardership of each participant. A dedicated follow-up will be offered via a smartphone application that will allow us to assess each person's objectives and define a personalized diagnosis

The Capstone Project will be one of the experiential highlights of the course by mobilizing the learner on a long-term reflection on one of the problems of his business or his personal project.

Finally, the lessons given during the course will be structured around 3 main ambitions, the academic foundation of the Global Executive MBA:

·      Change Your Mindset: Team building / Business Model and Organizational Agility / Leadership / CSR, ethics and sustainable development / HR management principles / Managerial economics / Flexibility and efficiency of supply chain management / Motivation, commitment and empowerment »/ Organizational challenges in the circular economy / The fundamentals of behavioral science

·       Create Your Value: Manage digital transformations: artificial intelligence, blockchain and Big Data / Marketing strategy / Entrepreneurial innovation and Design thinking / Lead global initiatives / Discover the entrepreneurial experience / Customer-oriented marketing in a digital world / Manage and define organizations in the digital age

·       Be Bold and Innovate: Strategic management and value creation / Management finance: the fundamentals / Management finance: sources of value creation / Financial accounting / Transition to sustainability for value creation / Business development and principles of Key account management / Marketplace simulation,

These developments concern both the curriculum offered on the Paris campus, but also its variation proposed for several years in Tehran (Iran). Ranked among the 100 best EMBA in the world according to the FT, this course will offer a new range of innovative educational experiences, international exhibitions and multidisciplinary content and will offer learners a 360 ° vision of the organization and the keys necessary to access the highest functions of the company. "Inventing or adapting the strategy, achieving transformations to create value for stakeholders and society at large ... The NEOMA Global Executive MBA will allow executives to develop the skills expected of managers in complex environments", concludes Olivier Lefaivre.
