The other major new feature is the conversion of the programme’s entire end-of-curriculum specialisations into a Masters of Science will now offer the option for students to earn a NEOMA BS Master in Management/MSc double diploma.

Financial risk and Financial Technologies in the new specialised track

With the introduction of a new specialised track “Risk & Financial technologies”, the Master in Management programme provides a respond to the needs of a financial market affected by major technological and regulatory changes and where risk control has become essential for investment management. “The ambition of our Master in Management programme is to offer our students all the keys to continuous employability,” said Sylvie Jean, director of the Master in Management programme. “To respect this objective and in an environment where today more than 60% of the jobs* offered in the financial sector are connected to risk management, we wanted to offer our students specific, cutting-edge preparation with this new specialised programme.” The curriculum, which is offered on the Reims and Rouen campuses starting in the 2019 academic year, was designed in partnership with the Global Association for Risk Professionals (GARP), the top professional association in the financial world. This partnership, with a major player from the financial risk management sector, offers students the opportunity to prepare for the Financial Risk Manager® (FRM) professional certification, which more than 90% of the largest global banking institutions seek out among their applicants when recruiting. Aside from the partnership with GARP, the curriculum will also benefit from the expertise of more than 35 professors well established in finance, with 50% coming from international backgrounds. Starting in the second semester of the Master in Management’s first year, the students enrolled in this specialised track will take specific courses to link up with the second year of the school’s MSc Risk in Finance and Technologies in a double-diploma format. With this specialised track, the Master in Management programme at NEOMA Business School joins an elite circle of the French “Masters in Management” curriculums that offer the prestigious Financial Risk Manager® professional certification.

The conversion of Master in Management into MSc along with a double diploma

The ambition of the last year for the Master in Management is to provide students with a cutting-edge specialisation, the last step before entering the work force. To achieve this, in addition to several double-diploma agreements with French and international institutions, the Master in Management programme has offered its students up to now a selection of more than 10 specialisations. Starting in the 2020 academic year, the curriculum will put into effect a conversion of these specialisations into MSc. “This transformation, which will not require any additional tuition fees, allows us to offer all of our students in the Master in Management programme access to a double diploma,” Sylvie Jean said. Courses are given in English and can be taken by French and international students, coming from the Master in Management programme or not. These future specialised curriculums will have a significant international aspect as well as diverse student profiles in each year’s class. “Aside from the expertise they’ll receive in class, by joining these double-diploma curriculums the students from Master in Management programme will enter a fully multicultural work environment, a real asset in a global professional environment.”
