“More than just a short film festival, Reims Toi L'Oeil is a whole day devoted to the seventh art” aiming to help NEOMA BS students dicover the world of the cinema.

During the day, apart  from viewing short films audiences could take part in blind tests, a dubbing workshop and attend an interview with FloBer, the director of the videos produced by the Golden Moustache collective, which are currently very popular on Internet.

The festival was organised in association with La Pellicule Ensorcelée, an association in Reims that organises, among other things, projections and image education workshops. The public was able to enjoy their Explora Cinéma stands: from nineteenth century optical illusions to the green screen used nowadays, with the atmosphere of a cabinet of curiosities, and all to “Make optical illusions and discover new objects that explain the foundations of the cinema.”

The jury included former School students who are now working in the cinema, and the Festival closed with the announcement of the results of their deliberations:

  • General Public’s Award: "Penny Dreadful"
  • Jury’s Award: "Frozen stories"
  • Student Award (with a special mention as best young filmmaker): "Master of Master, les coursiers de l'extrême"

We look forward to seeing you next year at the Festival’s second edition!
