Pierrick GOMEZ has been selected for the final of the Prix académique de la Recherche en Management, organised by  Consult’in France – Syntec Stratégie & Management, in the category  Marketing/Decision Sciences, for his article “It's Not Just Numbers: Cultural Identities Influence How Nutrition Information Influences the Valuation of Foods.”


The aim of the award is to strengthen the links between Grandes Écoles/universities and consulting practices. Pierrick’s nomination proves the relevance of our research to the professional world.

The final of the 8th edition of the awards, which will be held on 14 April in Paris, will provide the nominated researchers with an opportunity to share their work with management consultants thus to maintain the links between research and consulting.

This research examines how cultural mind-sets cued by a salient identity can influence how consumers interpret seemingly benign nutrition information in foods. Results show that nutrition information can be incongruent with the cultural norm of food enjoyment distinctively associated with French (and not American) identity.
