NEOMA's world

Thematics :

With the 1998 World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit and the Canal + sports journalist Stéphane Guy as its patrons, the competition is sponsored by Point P and attracted entries from 39 business schools.

The final stages took place over the weekend of 18-19 April at Clairefontaine, the French national football centre, in the presence of staff from Saint-Gobain, including its HR Director Olivier Griveaud, and Point P, including the Managing Director, Jacques Pestre. The players stayed the whole weekend at the national team’s training ground, including food and accommodation.

To win the competition, NEOMA BS Reims campus finished top of its group, beating ICN Nancy, ESCP and EM Strasbourg, and then beat ESCE in the quarterfinals and AUDENCIA in the semi-finals. Finally, during the final phase at Clairefontaine (called the Final VI) made up of 2 groups of 3, NEOMA BS Reims campus beat INSEEC Bordeaux (2-1) and Skema (4-1) in their group, Kedge Bordeaux (2-0) in the semi-finals and then ESSEC in the final (1-0).

The victory brings different rewards:

The players won a weekend in London on 23 and 24 May prochain, all expenses paid by Saint Gobain, with seats in an executive box to watch Arsenal’s last Premier League match of the season at the Emirates Stadium.

The School will also co-organise next season’s competition. This means that NEOMA BS Reims campus automatically qualifies for the final VI next year at Clairefontaine and that Emmanuel Petit and Stéphane Guy will visit the School to make the draw.

Finally, the players will wear a star on their jerseys next season to represent the first victory of NEOMA BS Reims campus in the competition (its 4th edition).

The team was also successful on the terraces, since the School also won the trophy for the best supporters. The competition was organised on the Point P French Cup Facebook page. The Reims campus will receive a second table football table offered by par Point P, after winning one last year in the same competition.

Congratulations to the whole team!
