With the creation of a centre of expertise dedicated to fintechs and cryptofinance in 2018 , NEOMA Business School is further strengthening its expertise by becoming a partner of the "Paris Blockchain Week" and "Paris Blockchain Week Summit" events to be held in Paris from 13 to 19 April 2019.

If France is currently emerging as a blockchain stronghold, NEOMA BS also made an academic contribution by hosting the first “NEOMA BS Workshop on Fintech and Cryptofinance” last November. This international workshop attracted several top speakers to the Paris campus. “France in general and Paris in particular offer many opportunities in the blockchain field,” explains Arash Aloosh, a Professor in the Finance Department.

This new partnership between NEOMA BS and the Paris Blockchain Week is completely in line with the initiative driven by the Finance Research Department. “NEOMA BS is delighted to be associated with such an unprecedented event that will bring together a select group of speakers including platform or cryptocurrency founders, representatives of specialised investment funds and blockchain regulators,” says Arash Aloosh. “The School will be involved in a number of initiatives throughout the week.”

Indeed, the students will take part in the different events organised during the Paris Blockchain Week. Some will be helping with the organisation and logistics of the Paris Blockchain Week Summit, others will take part in the job forum, and for those taking the selection tests, the Startup Pitch Contest can offer some very interesting opportunities.
During the Cosmos/Tendermint hackathon to be held from 13 to 14 April, professors from the NEOMA BS Finance department will be playing the role of "economics mentors" and assisting the various groups of developers and engineers to move forward.
