NEOMA's world

Thematics :

In December, NEOMA’s ‘NEOMACT’ mechanism won the prestigious GOLD prize at the QS Reimagine Education Awards 2024 in the category of ‘Sustainability Education Literacy’. With this award, the world of education showed its recognition of NEOMA’S work to make students ‘literate’ in sustainable development. Let’s take a closer look….

What are the QS Reimagine Education Awards? This is a prestigious competition set up by Quacquarelli Symonds. This organisation is above all known for its rankings of the world’s universities. Since 2014, it has rewarded innovations in teaching, as well as projects with social impact and measurable results. Prizes are awarded at the ‘Reimagine Education Conference’ where actors in education, businesses and researchers discuss the future of education. The event takes place in London in December.

What is NEOMACT? The NEOMACT mechanism has been designed to give students the resources they need to make an active contribution to the social and environmental transition (SET). This initiative includes classes, reflective evaluations and practical projects. By including experiences across the whole of the programme of study, NEOMACT ensures that each student obtains their qualification not only with the knowledge but also with the confidence and practical skills they need to lead transformations in their personal and professional lives. The objective is to fight eco-anxiety with action, and to position students as positive actors from their very first days in the School.

The view of Elise Bruchet, Director of Social and Environmental Transition, and leader of the project: “At NEOMA, we are not content just to teach sustainable development, we train proactive leaders to be ready for real and lasting change.”
