Karina Braquet and Arnaud Roussel have recently joined the Objectif Manager programme. They explain why they chose this programme and describe their first days on the Reims and Rouen campuses.

The promise made by NEOMA Objectif Manager programme is clear: to reveal management potential, acquire technical skills such as strategy, marketing, finance, business negotiation and management control, with the aim of developing positive leadership skills that can improve the collective performance of an organisation. This is what Karina Braquet and Arnaud Roussel were seeking when they decided to enrol on this 10-month programme.

What are your expectations for the coming year and why did you choose the Objectif Manager programme?

“Above all, I want to catch up on my past because I stopped studying quite early on. I have always wanted to go back to school and prove to myself that I can meet the challenge. I also want to broaden my knowledge in communication and marketing and benefit from the rest of the group’s experience. I chose the OM course because it fits in with my work schedule.  Plus, doors to my professional development will inevitably open thanks to NEOMA’s reputation.” Karina Braquet said.

“I hope to extend my knowledge and explore new horizons this year. That’s why I chose the Objectif Manager programme! I think it is a really comprehensive programme and the one that corresponds to all my expectations.” Arnaud Roussel said.

How was the induction seminar and what do you recall about it?

Karina Braquet: “I loved the first few days, which really lived up to my expectations. I am lucky enough to have joined a very diverse and caring group, and quite naturally, there was a lot of sharing and mutual support.

I also felt that my limits were pushed and that I was forced out of my comfort zone because by the end of the third day, we were given a surprise assessment! In a very short space of time, I had to accept the challenge, focus my attention and get ready to make a pitch to the rest of the group.

This was really instructive and the programme is already forcing me to ask questions of myself.”

Arnaud Roussel: “I was really impressed by the first few days at NEOMA. I was delighted to receive such a well-prepared and warm welcome.  I felt at home and confident very quickly.  And finding such a fantastic group was really the icing on the cake!”
