The ExE project, Experiential Education, at NEOMA Business School was presented in San Francisco on 29 and 30 November, at the global conference Reimagine Education, organised by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), a well-known leading global higher education company and the Learning Lab of Wharton School, widely regarded as one of the world's top institutions for business education.
Reimagine Education is an international competition aiming to reward those most successful in creating transformational educational initiatives, enhancing student learning outcomes and/or employability.
NEOMA BS was among the 155 shortlisted applicants, selected among 1,184 educational innovators projects from all over the world. Only two other French EdTech (education technologies) actors were selected, Grenoble Ecole de Management (for its serious games) and Skillogs (an EdTech start-up using AI for a new learning environment).
In the ‘Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality’ category, Marie-Laure Massué, Director of the Learning Lab at NEOMA BS, presented the case study in immersive virtual reality she had developed in-house and used in her teaching since 2016.
“Within a global context where digital transformation is constantly accelerating, including in education, we must as teachers not only create tools and methods to capture our students’ attention and involve them in their own learning but also develop critical thinking for those generations subject to information overload, and teach them to verify information so that they can use it better.”
The fact that NEOMA Business School features among the 13% of projects selected confirms NEOMA Business School’s place in the world community of education and the relevance of its strategic choice to focus on innovation in education.
