Responsible Campus Awards: a prize for NEOMA
Published on 10/12/2022
The community vegetable garden and nature sanctuary established on the Rouen Campus in 2021 have just been awarded the Trophées des Campus Responsables in the “Territorial Anchoring” category.
On Tuesday 4 October, the grandes écoles that were candidates for the 8th edition of the Trophées des Campus Responsables (Responsible Campus Awards) gathered at the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR) for the award ceremony. Organised under the patronage of the MESR, this initiative rewards higher education institutions that are committed to sustainable development and social responsibility.
Among the 7 categories of these awards, NEOMA was awarded the “Territorial Anchoring” prize for the creation of a vegetable garden and a nature sanctuary on the Rouen Campus. Initiated in 2020 by the CSR Committee, made up of employees, students and in particular the Ethika student organisation, this community project aims to contribute to conserving biodiversity and to reflect on the role of nature in an urban environment.
Virginie Milaire, Social and Environmental Transition Project Manager, was present to receive the award: “This trophy is the recognition of a project initiated in 2020 which has allowed us to strengthen our links with our internal stakeholders, General Management, our colleagues and student organisations, and our external partner, Les Cocottes Urbaines, a local company comprising a consultancy firm in eco-agriculture, permaculture and bio-intensive cultivation.”
Congratulations to the teams and students involved in the green transition and for this great recognition of NEOMA’s commitment to sustainable development.
