NEOMA students and teacher-researchers have a trading room available on each of the Reims and Rouen campuses. These rooms equipped with Bloomberg terminals offer an immersive experience in the real life of the markets.
An immersive experience
From trading rooms on campus, it is the opportunity to connect students and professors to real market data, best practices, new products, new regulations, etc. This immersion makes it possible to reduce the gaps between theory, teaching and practice.
Bloomberg, the benchmark
NEOMA’s trading rooms are equipped with Bloomberg terminals. A must-have in Finance, they enable real-time access to quotes and financial data, as well as historic data. In companies, management firms or even investment banks, the most relevant decisions are based on this detailed and reliable information.
Simulation
Beyond a simple teaching exercise, the lessons that take place in trading rooms make it possible for our students to learn how to make use of the tools used in the professional world. In a real situation, with real data, students will, for example, have 5,000 euros to invest in the stock market. They will create a portfolio and manage it. Thanks to the data available on Bloomberg, they will assess the profitability, as well as buy and sell the stocks, using what they have learned in class. A realistic and stimulating exercise!
