At NEOMA, that no longer means following a path laid down in advance but finding your own route. To help you achieve success in this key stage of your life, here are four pieces of advice for students.** ## Learning to learn differently Our teaching focusses on action, interaction, team projects, lots of oral work and presentations. Students will learn from each other. They will learn in internships, when they go abroad, and in student societies. At NEOMA they will discover new disciplines and new ways of thinking. At NEOMA, excellence is embodied in our teaching staff, both visiting industry professionals and permanent staff, whose role is to teach and carry research into management. The students thereby benefit from teaching that combines the latest knowledge on current topics, business problems and societal issues. **Our first piece of advice:** Immerse yourself in these new ways of learning, work between each lesson, familiarise yourself with distance learning, and take an active part in group work. ## ## Developing your openness to the wider world NEOMA is a School that looks outwards to the world. Over 80 nationalities are represented on our campuses! Our network of partners abroad includes over 400 partner universities, as varied and well-regarded as Bocconi in Italy, St. Gallen in Switzerland, HEC Montréal, Tsing Hua in China, Berkeley in the United States, the University of the Andes in Colombia, Deakin in Australia and Keio in Japan. We have over 60 international Double Degrees. **Our second piece of advice:** To get the most out of these exchanges you need to achieve good marks in lessons, and construct your pathway with care. That can give you extra motivation. ## ## Constructing your professional project Our objective is that students should construct a project that reflects themselves. To this end we organise professional workshops, conferences, business forums, internships and more. Our Talent & Career service is at the service of students, with 40 colleagues to help them reflect, train them in interview technique, put them in contact with recruiters, etc. Students who are tempted to embark on an adventure in entrepreneurship may also seek support from our experts and our start-up incubators. **Our third piece of advice:** Don’t panic if you have not yet decided on your career path. That’s very normal! Our teams are here to support you and help refine your vision step by step. ## ## Looking after your well-being As young adults, students may run into difficulties. It might simply be the stress of exams, problems with sleep, a need for nutritional advice, or something more complicated, problems of hardship, isolation, or even violence, exclusion or discrimination. And you need calm in your life to be able to study well. The NEOMA Wellness Centre is there for these students. It has a total staff of seventeen: nurses, psychologists, disability advisors, bursary coordinators and financial advisors. They are here to listen, support and provide guidance, and they organise many workshops. This is an essential service. **Our fourth piece of advice:** Don’t try to cope with problems alone. You will always find a kind listening ear at the Wellness Centre.
