Sauer is an Associate Professor of Operations and Supply Chain Management at NEOMA Business School. Previously, he was Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management and Purchasing at the EM Strasbourg Business School (France) and Assistant Professor of Management Engineering at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (Italy). Professor Sauer and holds a PhD in Supply Chain Management from the University of Kassel (Germany). His research covers topics on sustainability, digitalisation, resilience, and uncertainty in operations and supply chains. He focuses particularly on multi-tier supply chains and on developing relevant, methodological rigor in systematic literature reviews.
