Experiential learning is one of the teaching methods developed at NEOMA. It’s an approach reflected in the collaborative projects carried out by faculty researchers and students. The first example is the work of Rachel Beaujolin, our professor in the field of management and human resources.

Rachel’s research topic is cancer and management. To explore this subject, she approached the student Cheer' Up society, which supports young people living with illness. The NEOMA researcher and students organised a participatory conference together in April 2025. Based on the World Café format, students, managers and people impacted by cancer discussed three key questions related to the broader topic: how to continue studying and enter the world of work with cancer or after treatment.

Rachel Beaujolin, professor of management at NEOMA, and student Laura Angotti, president of Cheer’ Up Reims, look back on the experience and the lessons learned.

"description": "A NEOMA, étudiants et professeurs font avancer ensemble la recherche. L'expérience devient alors un moteur puissant à l'apprentissage. Rachel Beaujolin, professeure dans les domaines du management et des ressources humaines a permis aux étudiants de l'association Cheer UP de travailler sur le cancer et le management. Récit à deux voix de cette belle expérience. At NEOMA, students and professors work together to advance research. Experience thus becomes a powerful driver of learning. Rachel Beaujolin, a professor in management and human resources, enabled students from the Cheer UP association to explore the links between cancer and management. Here is a joint account of this wonderful experience.",

All of NEOMA's “Sharing the Research Experience” projects are built on three principles:1/ Tackling a complex, topical research question; 2/ Involving students actively in the research process; 3/ Sharing the outcomes in order to contribute to public debate.
