Hae-Jung HONG is Assistant professor at NEOMA Business School. She received her PhD from ESSEC Business School and was a visiting research fellow at INSEAD. Dr. Hong was selected as a finalist for the Barry M. Richman’s Best Doctoral Dissertation Award by the IM Division at the 2013 Academy of Management annual meeting and awarded a Highly Commended Award Winner of the 2013 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards in the Management and Governance category. Dr.Hong's article, "Multiculturals as strategic human capital resources in multinational enterprises" (JIBS 2022) has been selected in top-20 list of Migration, Diversity and IB in order to celebrate Women in the Academy of International Business’ (WAIB) 20th anniversary. Dr. Hong’s research focuses on multicultural individuals: their contributions to firms’ innovation, organizational enabling factors for competitive advantages, and identity work. Her work has been published in Journal of International Business Studies, Harvard Business Review (selected as the "HBR’s 10 Must Reads on Managing Across Cultures" by HBR Press) and International Journal of Cross-Cultural Management. In addition, her works have been published in Forbes and South China Morning Post. Dr. Hong has worked extensively with organizations and managers, both in the Europe and Korea.
