Her research focuses on social entrepreneurship, with particular emphasis on compassion venturing and entrepreneurial responses to societal challenges. Using qualitative, engaged, and process-oriented methods, her work examines how prosocial ventures and initiatives emerge and expand in crisis contexts, generating social impact in situations of acute need. Anastasia's work has been published in journals such as Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and the Journal of Business Venturing Insights, and has received several recognitions and awards, including the Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference Best Paper Award in Social Entrepreneurship. She is also a member of EMES, the European Group of Organization Studies (EGOS), and the Academy of Management. Alongside her research, Anastasia engages in policy and government advisory and contributes to startup ecosystem development.
