KAUPPILA Olli-Pekka

Ph.D. (organization and management)

Olli-Pekka Kauppila is Full Professor in the department People and Organizations and the Head of Future of Work area of excellence. Before joining NEOMA Business School, Olli-Pekka was an Associate Professor of Organization and Management at Aalto University School of Business, where he also received his Ph.D. in Organizations and Management in 2011. Olli-Pekka’s primary research area is organizational behavior, and he is particularly interested in topics related to leadership, individual creativity, motivation, group dynamics, social exchange, and prosocial behaviors. He is also interested in strategy-making and other organizational factors shaping employees’ behavioral processes. Most of Olli-Pekka’s research involves the analyses of nested data with multiple analytical levels (e.g., individuals, work groups, and firms). His recent articles have appeared in journals such as Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Personnel Psychology, and Strategic Management Journal. In teaching, Olli-Pekka’s goal is to help students use research-based knowledge to make organizations more effective and better places to work.
