Luxury companies need outstanding aspirational marketing content while being able to deliver unique luxury customer experiences. Luxury companies have to launch new challenges and master Customer Centric Culture (CCC) to promote and develop their brand strategies, innovation, digital exclusivity, luxury experience, omni-channel retailing, generational challenges, value creation and sustainable competitive advantage.
The MSc Luxury Marketing aims to develop experts and multicultural executives in luxury marketing.
Students learn to predict customer behaviour in multi-cultural environments and develop and implement successful marketing strategies for launching products and services in luxury industries. At the same time, they master the tools to put the in-store luxury experience online and bring the online experience into the store while learning how to manage a luxury brand with an origin and brand heritage.

Programme objectives
The MSc Luxury Marketing prepares students for solid, successful careers in the luxury industry. Its primary aim is to develop experts and multicultural executives in luxury marketing with innovative perspectives and creative skills.
Students learn and implement knowledge and skills that enable them to:
- Develop brand equity and construct a strong brand portfolio
- Develop highly pleasurable, experience-based, omni-channel strategies providing luxury experiences throughout the customer journey
- Master the different communication disciplines and tools in order to develop efficient integrated marketing communications strategies for luxury brands and companies
- Master the fundamentals of digital communication processes in luxury industries
- Work effectively with digital/social media experts in order to create value and relevant digital content through the digitalisation of communication processes for luxury brands
- Use digitalisation in luxury hospitality to personalise luxury service and build online exclusivity and loyalty
- Master how to put the in-store luxury experience online and bring the online experience in the store
- Manage a luxury brand with an origin and brand heritage
- Understand the specificities of hospitality marketing and develop successful marketing strategies in this sector

EXPERIENCE-BASED, IMMERSIVE APPROACH
This MSc uses several innovative pedagogic methods applied to the luxury marketing sector while also relying on active participation from marketing professionals and professors. The MSc Luxury Marketing combines academic lectures with active learning, including real-life case studies, company visits, guest speakers and teamwork exercises.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE (4 TO 6 MONTHS)
This is an essential opportunity for applying the theoretical and practical skills learned during the first two semesters in a professional environment. Students are free to do their internship in France or abroad, subject to approval by the internship director and based on its relevance to the MSc programme and course content.

Evaluation procedures
The programme is recognised through a dual validation:
- Ongoing assessment: evaluations conducted throughout the length of the programme in the form of individual or collective reports to be submitted
- A final evaluation: performed at the end of the course, it can be done under different forms – it is, for the most part, individual
At the end of the programme and after a validation of ECTS credits per programme year, the level-7 DESSMI – MSc Luxury Marketing is awarded to participants.
If some modules were not validated and thus no credits were earned, the programme participant can redo the evaluation during a period set up for this purpose.

- 4-year Bachelor’s degree(Origin of the academic background : economy, business, science, etc.) or 3 year-Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 1 year professional experience

Delivered on the Rouen campus, this programme serves as a gateway to a Master’s of Science for students with a three-year higher education qualification (French Licence or Bachelor’s degree). The programme is also open to students with degrees in non-business fields. The first year is an International Pre-Master, overviewing the core of business studies and leading up to the selected MSc in the second year. The first year of my MSc in Global Management was a year of building the fundamentals skills necessary for almost every aspect of my professional life. Courses like Quantitative Methods gave me skills related to a several fields of study, like economics and finance, helping me to read and analyze data in a more objective way. Geopolitics provided me with a comprehensive vision of world trade. Also, a full day’s work in an English-speaking environment strengthened my preparation for work in an international context. The courses were extremely useful and gave me confidence in my competences.
