My name is Xenia Sedova and I come from Moscow (Russia) where I previously studied translation and interpretation.
Before coming to NEOMA Business School, I had never studied business and I was interested in finding a higher educational institution, that would provide me with an opportunity to discover the world of business despite my lack of knowledge in this discipline. I was motivated to go and study in France, as I have been learning the French language for many years, and living in France was an important step that I had planned years ago in my life. After a thorough internet research, NEOMA Business School drew my closest attention as it offered several programmes with distinct advantages.
I chose the Marketing French Excellence programme, because I was drawn by the idea of studying marketing through the examples of the French market alongside with globally common techniques, which truly turned into a unique experience.
After being accepted to the programme, I had to prepare a lot of necessary documents and find accommodation, which was not as easy as I thought. However, NEOMA BS was very supportive and I was provided with all the information and documentation I needed.
One of the most important experiences I have gained during my studies, apart from all the business skills we were taught in the programme, was working in a multicultural environment. I was always passionate about travelling. I love exploring new places and cultures, and the opportunity to work and communicate on a daily basis with people from various backgrounds, from all over the world became one of the most enriching experiences in my life.
At the end of my studies, after a couple of months of persistent search, I found an internship as a marketing and sales assistant at Givaudan, the world's leading company in flavours and fragrances. I had an amazing experience working in this company, which wouldn’t be possible without NEOMA Business School, for which I am sincerely grateful.
