NEO’Insights: Cancer and Work, a Managerial Challenge

NEOMA Business School is launching NEO’Insights, a new monthly series of conferences where research meets practice. Each edition brings together professors, business leaders and decision-makers to discuss current issues and turn knowledge into concrete impact.

For this first edition, we invite you to reflect on a major challenge: “Cancer and Work: A Managerial Challenge”.

Each year in France, 4 out of 10 people diagnosed with cancer are in employment. This upheaval affects not only the individual but also colleagues, managers, and the organisation as a whole.
How can we prepare for and support a long-term absence? How can we maintain the capacity to act and work despite illness? How can we reconcile performance and health on a daily basis?

🎤 In this conference, Rachel Beaujolin, Professor at NEOMA Business School and member of the Health Democracy Committee of the French National Cancer Institute (INCa), will share concrete approaches and methodological benchmarks to better support employees, managers and organisations.

📅 Thursday, 30 October 2025 – 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
