About the positions
Building on NEOMA Business School’s strong and continuous growth, and in line with our strategic focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI), we are seeking applications for the position of Director of the NEOMA AI Research Institute. This Research Institute is NEOMA’s flagship strategic initiative in AI, offering a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment for research and education in AI. The AI Research Institute brings together faculty, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers from different departments at NEOMA working on the technical aspects and applications of AI. Our goal is to advance AI and its use by addressing key challenges in the foundations and applications of AI through multidisciplinary research, innovative education, and strong collaboration with society, industry, and policymakers. We aim to generate impactful research in both foundational and applied AI, foster a vibrant AI community, and expand opportunities for engagement, outreach, and innovation. Candidates from both the technical/foundation side of AI, such as computer scientists, and the applications side are eligible for this position.
The Director will be a full-time faculty member at NEOMA. The rank, for example Associate Professor, Full Professor, or Distinguished Professor, will be determined based on the candidate’s publication record and prior experience. The Director will be responsible for shaping the Research Institute’s academic vision in coordination with our Associate Dean for Digital, fostering interdisciplinary research collaborations, developing research projects and external partnerships, and enhancing NEOMA’s national and international visibility in the field of AI.
This is a fantastic time to join our school and our multidisciplinary AI Research Institute. The institute is advancing our research and education on timely and impactful topics in both foundational and applied AI. We also provide resources, in terms of people (i.e., RAs, postdocs, and data scientists) and financial support, to our faculty working around such topics. In addition to the resources available through the Research Institute, we provide a full range of research support, including, among others, an individual annual budget for conferences and other research expenses.
The compensation package is consistent with international standards (with the addition of generous bonuses linked to one’s publications). We also support administrative procedures related to settlement in France and assistance in finding accommodation, family integration, French training (for you and your partner), and relocation expenses.
About the candidates
We are looking for dynamic, high-potential candidates who have:
- A PhD from an internationally recognized institution in computer science, engineering, business and management, or other relevant fields related to AI.
- A record consistent with appointment at the Associate Professor level or above.
- A strong publication record in top-tier international peer-reviewed journals in AI-related research.
- Academic leadership experience and the ability to develop a clear research vision.
- The ability to engage and mobilize faculty members, PhD students, and research teams.
- Experience in securing or supporting external research funding.
- Strong international academic networks.
- The capacity to build partnerships with external stakeholders.
- A passion for impactful research and a strong commitment to excellence in its pursuit.
- A willingness to disseminate research and expertise to our external stakeholders, both locally and globally.
- A proactive and collegial attitude toward colleagues and the school.

The AI Research Institute brings together faculty, PhD students, and postdoctoral researchers from different departments at NEOMA working on the technical aspects and applications of AI. Our goal is to advance AI by addressing key challenges in the foundations and applications of AI through multidisciplinary research, innovative education, and strong collaboration with society, industry, and policymakers. As part of this AI Research Institute, our goal is to establish a Research Excellence Chair in AI in collaboration with the Normandy Region. For this specific chair, we are looking for senior candidates, at the Associate or Full Professor level, with a very strong publication record, who are currently based outside the Normandy Region, preferably outside France. If you would like to be considered for this chair position, please indicate this clearly in your cover letter.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
NEOMA Business School is recruiting Teaching Faculty (permanent teaching-focused position) in the following management disciplines:

Teaching Faculty will be mainly responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across NEOMA’s programs (undergraduate and graduate programs), in French and/or English depending on the profile.
