Programme overview
The International Master in Luxury Management is a unique double-degree programme created jointly by NEOMA Business School and POLIMI Graduate School of Management.
Combining French and Italian expertise and calling on the support of the schools’ prestigious partnerships with Louis Vuitton, Bulgari and Ferrari, the programme covers value creation and management in the luxury sector, from product design to distribution.

Programme objectives
Students have the opportunity to gain practical insights into the key facets of luxury management, engaging directly with Louis Vuitton, Bulgari and Ferrari through our exclusive partnerships.
The mission of the programme is to cultivate experts and leaders in the luxury sector, equipped with a holistic understanding of the value chain and the ability to master brand management from design to distribution.
During the course, students will:
- Master the luxury sector landscape: stakeholders, activities, interactions
- Learn to work in effectively in global and cross-cultural contexts
- Think creatively and create added value in work processes and projects
- Develop leadership and managerial skills through dedicated workshops
Skills sets
The International Master in Luxury Management, awarding a higher education degree in international management (DESSMI), provides the skills to:
- Perform a functional analysis and implement an action plan that incorporates digital, sustainable and international components
- Conduct a scientific study and issue a recommendation
- Develop ethical leadership abilities to strengthen one’s manager posture
The skills blocks of the certification may not be acquired separately. The proposed curriculum covers all skills blocks.
Programme highlights
A dual international experience
In the IMLUX programme, students immerse themselves in the incomparable luxury landscapes of France and Italy, two countries renowned for their rich culture and luxury heritage. Here, they are seamlessly integrated into the exclusive realm of the luxury industry, leveraging the combined excellence of NEOMA’s expertise in leadership and management education with POLIMI Graduate School of Management’s mastery in production and product transformation.
Acquire a global luxury outlook: Understand the foundations of value creation
In Milan (from October to February ), master the intricacies of luxury management, focusing on global luxury outlook, value creation and value delivery. Learn product design, idea transformation, brand narratives and integrated marketing.
In Reims (from February to July), cover the essentials of luxury management through four modules: marketing, finance, accounting and law, strategy.
Benefit from an experiential & immersive learning approach
Discover French and Italian luxury expertise through presentations and company visits. Participate in projects and conferences led by professionals. During a week-long immersion in Paris, explore various aspects of luxury, such as jewellery, hospitality, automotive, and wines and spirits, by participating in masterclasses with experts.
Immersion in the world of champagne
During the second semester in Reims, the champagne capital of the world, students develop a thorough understanding of this sector through project work, company visits and conferences hosted by professionals.
Professional experience (4-to-6 months)
The programme includes an internship or other practical experience (fixed-term contract, permanent contract, business start-up, etc.) where theories and skills are applied in a professional environment. Students are free to complete their professional experience in France or abroad, subject to approval by the internship director and based on its relevance to the programme and course content.
Adapted programme for high-level athletes and artists
High-level athletes and artists may benefit from an adapted programme in order to pursue both their studies and their passion.

Evaluation procedures
The programme is validated in two ways:
- Continuous assessment: Evaluations conducted throughout the course the programme in the form of individual or collective assignments to be submitted.
- Final assessment: Carried out at the end of the course and may take a number of different forms, most of which are individual.
At the end of the course and after validation of the ECTS for each year of training, the Level 7 DESSMI – International Master in Luxury Management diploma is awarded to participants.
If certain modules have not been validated and therefore credits not obtained, the student may take a resit examination during the periods set aside for this purpose.

Eligibility
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree (business and management, economics, engineering…)
- 3-year Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of professional experience
- Proof of English language ability is required during the application process (TOEIC, TOEFL ibt, IELTS, Cambridge and Duolingo).*

Admissions process
- Complete the online application: apply.neoma-bs.fr
- Provide scanned copies of all original documents in English or French (CV, motivation letter, transcripts, etc.)
- Candidates who meet the admissions requirements will be asked to complete a deferred interview
- Admissions results are sent by email within two weeks of the interview.
Application fee: €100
Admissions calendar
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, from September with a final deadline for submissions in mid-July. Applicants will be informed of the admission jury’s decision within two weeks of the interview.
However, given the limited number of places, candidates are advised to apply as early as possible.
Additional recommendations
The IMLUX programme hosts international students from a wide range of academic and geographical backgrounds. However, they all share a passion for luxury. Candidates should be able to explain why they are applying for this programme and why it is in line with their career.
Candidates should be able to communicate with confidence in English, participate in group work, demonstrate initiative, strong interpersonal skills, enjoy meeting people and having new experiences.
