Julio Leandro is an Assistant Professor in Marketing at NEOMA Business School. He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from FGV EAESP and was a visiting scholar at the University of Melbourne.
His research examines how financialization shapes everyday consumer life, with a particular focus on borrowing, debt, and financial vulnerability. Drawing on a socio-cultural and interpretivist perspective, it explores the symbolic and relational consequences of financial practices.
His work has been published in the Journal of Consumer Research, the Journal of Business Research, and the International Journal of Consumer Studies. He has spent the past three years as an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Mackenzie Presbyterian University (Brazil). He has taught a wide range of marketing courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including marketing strategy, branding, services marketing, digital marketing, and behavioral economics.
