Thematics :

in October, the BEST OF student life

Campus life at NEOMA is particularly vibrant. Here, we take a look back at three key moments from October, focusing on international openness, a strong commitment to the transition and educational initiatives.

1/ Côme – a CESEM student – goes to Spain with his professors on an immersive language experience

Côme Delecluse, a second-year CESEM student, finally got to carry out his language immersion project in Salamanca, Spain, accompanied by his Spanish professors, Eva Tudela and Ainhoa Callejo. Côme’s agenda featured intensive lessons at the Centro Didáctico de Español as well as cultural workshops, sightseeing tours of Salamanca and daily Spanish conversations with his host family. It was an all-embracing experience that helped Côme improve his speaking skills, deepen his comprehension and boost his confidence in everyday interactions.

Following last year’s language workshops organised by tutors from the Centro Didáctico de Español, Côme was awarded a NEOMA–DICE scholarship in recognition of his commitment and motivation to improve.

2/ IMPACT NOW: Students and staff reduce the campus's environmental impact

The fifth IMPACT NOW (October 20–24) rallied students, staff and partners around a series of initiatives aimed at building a more sustainable and inclusive campus. Activities included an inclusive futsal tournament in the gym, student club stalls in the IMPACT Village, a virtual reality escape game on air pollution and an uplifting conference on diversity. The event was an invaluable opportunity for the entire community to explore, discuss, share and take action on ecological and social issues. It was a community-building event that sparked concrete initiatives and fuelled the collective resolve to make a difference.

3/ Arts Committee organises an artistic weekend for the Reims community (photo)

A festival-like atmosphere reigned on the Reims campus this autumn as NEOMA students spent the entire weekend of October 10–12 enjoying WEArt, an arts festival organised by the Arts Committee. The atmosphere was particularly warm and friendly as close to 200 attendees (re)discovered the wealth of arts-focused clubs at the School, with music from Rollin', dance with In'Motion, theatre with Dionysis and Inreimsible, a musical comedy by CoMu, visual arts from Pygmalia and Chromatica, literature with Café Litté and musical explorations with Vibes. There was also a steady stream of concerts, shows and workshops – all dreamed up and run by the BDA. Full of excitement, laughter and discovery,  WEArt once again proved that art is much more than a passion at NEOMA: it’s a powerful bond that brings students together and energises the entire community.
