Train, Innovate, Support: NEOMA adopts a systemic approach to address the challenges of its entire community

Published on 04 June 2025 by Aziza B.

In a world shaken by successive shocks, NEOMA continues to evolve and remains more committed than ever to training the talent that will shape tomorrow’s world. As part of its strategic plan “Engage for the Future,” the School continues to innovate by combining stability and agility to provide its entire community students, young graduates, professors, companies, and more broadly, the French and global higher education ecosystem with tangible responses to future challenges.

More than ever, we are affirming our position as a leading institution, driven by a global, integrated, and cross-disciplinary vision, fully engaged in preparing our students to act in a world undergoing profound transformation,” says Delphine Manceau, Dean of NEOMA Business School.

For Students: Curricula aligned with a changing world

In an unstable and complex world, students need strong foundations and new pathways to project themselves into the future. Our role is to offer them transformative experiences that make them agile and open-minded,” says Alexandre Pourchet, Deputy Dean for Programmes & International Affairs.

New opportunities to enrich international experiences

NEOMA is launching a new partnership with UC Berkeley, a global reference in entrepreneurship, around the Summer Venture Lab. This program allows students who have already completed a semester at the Berkeley incubator to extend their stay, accelerate their start-up project, and fully benefit from the unique Silicon Valley ecosystem. This initiative is part of the Global Incubator program, a network of ten leading partners offering students immersive entrepreneurial experiences at top university incubators worldwide.

To meet student aspirations, NEOMA is expanding its partner network across Europe and Asia, signing new exchange agreements with prestigious institutions such as Maastricht University (Netherlands), University of Aberdeen (UK), and Hang Seng University of Hong Kong.

Beyond management: thematic exchange tracks

Starting next semester, students on exchange at TUM Munich (Germany) or Sejong University (South Korea) will be able to specialize in digital transformation, sustainable economics, or renewable energies.

Supporting low-carbon mobility: the “Green Mobility Bonus”

In line with its commitment to sustainability, NEOMA is encouraging low-carbon international travel. With the introduction of the “Green Mobility Bonus,” the School will double Erasmus financial aid for students opting for environmentally friendly transportation within Europe.

A New Literature Course to Address Contemporary Challenges

NEOMA is introducing a 15-hour course entitled “Lessons from Great Literary Texts: Management, Business, and Leadership” for all first-year Grande École students. Taught by Agathe Mezzadri-Guedj, holder of the agregation in literature and preparatory class teacher, this course sheds light on leadership and management through foundational literary works. It will explore key literary figures to extract insights on leadership models and creativity.

This unique pedagogical choice for a business school reflects our desire to draw on the preparatory classes’ intellectual legacy and blend it with management disciplines, helping students develop the perspective they need to navigate an increasingly complex world,” explains Delphine Manceau. “It also expresses our strong commitment to general knowledge and the continuity between preparatory classes and the Grande Ecole.”

New Tracks in Finance and Geopolitics

In September 2025, the MSc in Finance will introduce a new “Asset Management & Investment Research” track, including preparation for CFA Level II and III. NEOMA is the only French Grande École to offer the full CFA certification (Levels I, II, and III) during the program. These advanced financial analysis skills will enable students to pursue high-level careers in asset management and investment banking.

In response to growing geopolitical complexity, the MIM Program will offer a fifth double degree in partnership with IRIS on “Food Security and Agricultural Geopolitics.” This complements NEOMA’s four existing double degrees with IRIS, covering defense and security, humanitarian affairs, and development.

For Graduates: Tailored Career Support

To help students shape their career paths and access high-value opportunities, the “Talents & Careers” team offers personalized guidance aligned with current market needs. A team of 13 consultants—professionals from various sectors—supports students from the definition of their career project to the preparation for specialized recruitment processes.

This year, NEOMA is going further with the launch of “NEOMA Career Tips,” a dedicated online platform offering students access to sector insights, job postings, career advice, and alumni testimonials—all in one place.

For Professionals: Training for Reinvention

Amid economic transformation and a global talent shortage, NEOMA is positioning itself as a distinctive player in executive education. The School now offers 13 certificate programs focused on in-demand skills: artificial intelligence, sustainable finance, data management, ecological transition, and geopolitical strategy. These are delivered in partnership with leading institutions such as AgroParisTech, IRIS, and JEDHA. In parallel, NEOMA develops customized programs for companies like L’Oréal and Safran. This executive education offering was recognized by the Financial Times in 2024: 19th worldwide / 5th in France for custom programs, and 37th worldwide / 6th in France for open-enrollment programs.

Another major area of focus: career reinvention. NEOMA supports experienced professionals in redefining their career paths. With unique expertise in the career transition of elite athletes, NEOMA works with partners like Provale (rugby) and AJPH (handball), having supported 100 athletes from 15 nationalities in 2024 and over 300 athletes in five years.

For the Sector: Sharing NEOMA’s AI Leadership

With AI, higher education is undergoing a revolution. NEOMA, as a pioneer in this field, aims to act as a living lab for the benefit of the entire sector,” says Alain Goudey, Associate Dean for Digital at NEOMA.

NEOMA was an early adopter of AI in higher education, training 8,000 students in generative AI as early as 2022. In April 2025, it became a Design Partner of Mistral AI, Europe’s leading AI company. Thanks to this partnership, 3,000 members of the NEOMA community (students, faculty, and staff) have access to “Le Chat,” Mistral AI’s conversational assistant. The co-construction approach driving this collaboration is enabling NEOMA to rethink its pedagogy and organization through new use cases such as negotiation simulators, course recommendation tools, and AI tutors embedded in learning platforms.

NEOMA is also playing a catalytic role across the educational ecosystem. Its innovative practices are designed to inspire institutions nationally and internationally. In April, the School welcomed 110 preparatory class professors for workshops on generative AI. Today, nearly 350 teachers are enrolled in NEOMA’s online “Gen AI for Business” course, which is also offered to all AACSB member institutions worldwide.

In a complex world, we choose openness and innovation. Our programs, partnerships, and initiatives are all aimed at preparing leaders who will drive the transformations of tomorrow,” concludes Delphine Manceau.
