At the end of April, Delphine Manceau, Dean of NEOMA and Arthur Mensch, co-founder of Mistral AI signed a partnership that will transform the teaching of the School.
The ambition. In the face of the major issues of digital sovereignty and the deployment of Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education, NEOMA is opting for a strategic partnership with French and European unicorn, Mistral AI. Together we will use European AI in the service of our community and of Higher Education.
The student benefit. NEOMA will integrate these technologies into its teaching, its research and its internal functions, but will also jointly explore the uses of tomorrow for the whole of the sector. The School community (students, teaching staff and colleagues) will have the benefit of Mistral AI solutions, including Le Chat, the French alternative to ChatGPT. Not forgetting the young graduates of the NEOMA Alumni who will have access to a preferential offer for Le Chat Pro. And in addition, we will be envisaging and testing uses together: the creation of teaching content, a negotiation simulator with various vendor profiles to train our students, making available a tutor in using AI, help with decisions on the choice of courses, help with research, etc.
Solutions for Higher Education. This partnership is about far more than simply sharing tools. It’s about working together to invent the uses of tomorrow in ESR. It is rooted in our vision of an in-depth transformation of our teaching and organisational practices, and is part of a strategy of digital sovereignty and sustainability, thanks to AI models that are less energy-consuming than their American or Chinese equivalents. The solutions we shall be trialling, through this close collaboration with Mistral AI, are aimed at inspiring and enhancing the whole of the sector, by laying the foundations for responsible uses that are appropriate for educational purposes.
What they said:
Delphine Manceau, Dean of NEOMA Business School: “At a time when the issues surrounding digital sovereignty are becoming increasingly significant, NEOMA is choosing the most French and the most virtuous of global actors in AI because Mistral is becoming a world leader with effective models that are less energy-consuming than the American or Chinese alternatives”
Alain Goudey, Associate Dean for Digital at NEOMA: “With this pioneering agreement in Higher Education and research, we are laying the foundations for tools and practices which, in the long term, will benefit the whole of the sector”
By becoming the design partner of Mistral AI, NEOMA is reinforcing its position as a pioneer in artificial intelligence.
