GYORKE Mariann

Mariann is an Assistant Professor of Management Control at NEOMA Business School. She researches accounting as a social and organizational practice, focusing on the construction of management control and accounting instruments in the context of consultants, in particular through representation and discourse. Another part of her research examines the role of accounting and accountability in society through various phenomena such as, for instance, election audits. Mariann’s research is interdisciplinary and uses qualitative methods. She has presented her work at various international conferences such as CPA, IPA, AAE. Prior to her work as an academic, Mariann has accumulated 20 years of experience serving in various audit, accounting, and control positions in industry and as a freelance consultant. She is in the process of completing her Ph.D. at ESCP Business school and is an ACCA qualified accountant.
