Serge da Motta Veiga has been appointed Deputy Dean of Faculty at NEOMA Business School. Previously serving as Director of Research at the School, he now joins the Executive Committee. His main mission will be to drive the qualitative and quantitative development of NEOMA’s Faculty, with the ambition of further strengthening the School’s academic achievements, reputation, and impact on the international academic stage.
This appointment aligns with NEOMA’s strategic plan, where academic excellence is a central pillar. “This year, we are welcoming 25 high-level international professors. Simultaneously, the quality of our research continues to improve. Our School is experiencing strong academic momentum, and we have ambitious goals in this field,” says Delphine Manceau, Dean of NEOMA Business School. “Serge da Motta Veiga is internationally recognized for his research. His appointment to this strategic role will be a tremendous asset to further build on our current momentum, expand the faculty, stimulate quality and innovation in pedagogy, and enhance the impact of our research.”
In his new role, Serge da Motta Veiga will lead ambitious development projects in collaboration with the faculty, strengthen ties between the academic and corporate worlds, and foster the School’s culture of quality and innovation. “Serge’s deep knowledge of the international academic landscape and his experience in Europe and the United States will be invaluable assets for achieving these objectives,” adds Delphine Manceau. As a member of the Executive Committee, he will also contribute to the overall strategy and execution of the institution’s mission.
Holding a PhD in Management from the University of Missouri, Serge da Motta Veiga has served as a professor at American University, Lehigh University, and EDHEC. His research focuses on career and talent management, including studies on new work formats and employer-employee relations. He joined NEOMA Business School in 2023 as a faculty member and took on the role of Director of Research later that year. “I am proud to take on this new position as Deputy Dean of Faculty. My goal will be to further develop our faculty and lead our academic body to maintain our School’s pioneering position in pedagogical quality and innovation. Producing new knowledge, structured around our four areas of excellence aligned with current and future challenges, and fostering synergies between our faculty and the corporate world will also be at the heart of my ambitions.”
