HARRISON-MARCHAND
PhD, Sociology
I am originally from California, USA where I began my studies in fundamental philosophy. I then moved to the United Kingdom and completed an MPhil. degree where I, albeit atypically, found lasting answers to my questions about rationality and the plurality of religious belief. Thus, I moved to France and began English training in business. Since working at NEOMA teaching language in 2005, I have developed interests in the socio-dynamics of corporate social responsibility and institutional change. These interests led to a PhD. in sociology. My doctoral research was on the socio-dynamics of the electronics manufacturing industry incorporating CSR policy throughout global supply chains from the analytical perspective of the theory of requisite variety (cultural theory). Additionally, I manage a small angel investment fund. Consequently, since 2016 I have served on the board of directors for a small company in Paris which manages online rare wines and spirits auctions.
