On 8 October, the Oikos Reims society and the PwC Luxembourg consultancy organised a conference entitled ‘ESG and sustainable finance: Myth or reality?’ This meeting highlighted the issues of the criteria of Environment, Social and Governance, and how they are integrated into financial practices. It also examined how companies such as PwC Luxembourg are now adapting their services in line with the new climate regulations and priorities adopted by businesses. This event forms part of the sustainability approach to which our School is committed.
Oikos Reims is a NEOMA society which since 2007 has been “encouraging students to incorporate a sustainable dimension into their everyday and future activities.”
On 11 October, the student society Talents Aiguilles (Needle Talent) organised the Fashion Trophies, a major inter-business school competition. Every year since 2009, the wildest creations have paraded before an enthusiastic audience. In 2024 it was the turn of the Paris campus of NEOMA to host the event.
Valentine Janisz, Master in Management student and President of the Cheer Up Reims society, on 16 October attended for the first time a meeting of the Board of Directors of NEOMA. Every year, a student becomes a member of the School’s Board of Directors. Valentine was elected by her peers for the year 2024/2025. “When we are directly affected by the issues discussed, I try to think of the diversity of student responses. I am to be the spokesperson for the students on the Board of Directors,” she points out. “In that way I hope to understand how an entity as large as NEOMA is managed. These are structures where we might later end up working, so it’s an opportunity to learn about their inner workings.”
