To start the new season of “Inspiring Meetings”, we had the immense pleasure of welcoming Michel-Edouard Leclerc, President of NEOMA and chairman of the strategic committee of Leclerc Centres on our Reims campus for a talk with our students in the full-capacity amphitheatre.   

On this occasion, Michel-Edouard Leclerc shared with our students his vision of his role as school president as well as his beliefs about the changes in society and to the planet, how to live together and about the responsibilities that the students will take on as future managers. Here are portions of that talk.

“I’m proud that the students can say in a few year “I was there” when talking about the school’s trajectory”.

“NEOMA is a sign of openness, curiosity and a multidisciplinary vision. This is what you need to become innovative managers. That is our ambition for you”.

“Your challenge is to cultivate your taste for uncertainty and exploration of all possible avenues”.

“Cultivate your dreams. Constantly tell yourself, “I will do it’”.

“It would be great if, somewhere on your CV, I could give you a positive reference that would help you accomplish your projects”.

“It is not completely my generation’s fault, but we’ve left the youth with a violent world, without any compass other than sometimes apocalyptic and certainly stressful demands. I hope that, over the course of these talks, I’ve been able to keep the flame alive and convince you to live out your dreams”.
